An upgrade item is an item that makes certain Pokemon develop. The Upgrade is obtained by spinning a photo disc. It is sometimes offered as a prize in Pokemon GO events.

Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be placed into weapons, armor trinkets and gathering tools to provide bonus effects or attribute bonuses while the equipment is being used. Some upgrade components also have special visual effects when applied to an item of equipment. Upgrade components are available through crafting, purchased by Karma merchants, or traded with other players through the Trading Post. They can also be rescued from equipment and redeemed as rewards.
Various upgrade components are available, each providing an individual bonus. item upgrading , such as gems and inscriptions, can be used on any kind of equipment; they provide smaller bonuses than other types of upgrade components. Infusions can be utilized on non-amulet and legendary ascended items, and enrichments are able to be used on back equipment that has been ascended. Most upgrade components can be replaced when they are slotted into an item, but doing so can destroy the previous upgrade. The exceptions are glyphs (which can only be used in gathering tools) and enchantments, which can be removed and then reinserted.
Insignias, enchantments, and prefix/suffix upgrades will be displayed in the hover display of the item, and they will be added to the equipment's name (e.g. a Radiant Insignia could change the name into Radiant Tyrian Armor). The number of upgrade components added to an item will be displayed in the tooltip for the item.
Glyphs
Glyphs are special characters that can be added into an OpenType font to add functional or decorative elements such as ligatures, ornaments, fractions and swashes registered trademark symbols, and ellipses. The Glyphs panel allows you to see and insert these particular characters along with normal glyphs, such as em dashes and en dashes registered trademark symbols and glyphs that don't appear in other fonts (such as dingbats).
Each Glyph gives a character boost in primary stats. It also includes up to four Secondary Stats that affect the glyph's radius on your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats are a percentage increase which is multiplied by other bonuses, with the exception of Speed Glyphs that directly increase the speed of the hero.
Selecting the Glyphs and then clicking "enchant" will activate the Glyphs. This will bring up a window that displays the Glyphs available to you. You only need to apply the appropriate Glyph to the selected item. Each weapon or armor piece comes with a distinct collection of Glyphs.
You can upgrade your Glyphs by finishing Tree of Whisper Quests or Nightmare Dungeons. The more challenging the dungeon, the greater the amount of Glyph experience that you will get. Once a Glyph is at level 15 it is able to be upgraded using the Glyph Upgrade Altar. The upgrade of a Glyph increases its radius on the Paragon Board by one node every 15 levels.
Once a glyph has been upgraded to its desired level, you can activate it by selecting it and then clicking the "enchant" button. The Glyph that is created will grant its stated bonus, and also increase the number of nodes within its area on the Paragon Board. It's crucial to place glyphs where they will be most beneficial to your build, and that is why it's a good idea to prioritize Magic Glyphs early on. Rerolling
Rerolling is a process in which you create a new account to give yourself more opportunities to access an item or character you are interested in. When you reroll, you need be sure that the changes you are making are clear. You should verify locally whether the patch is approved by the pre-commit test and run a core dev check. You should upload the patch with a clear difference to a problem (see What is an interdiff?) ).
Rerolls could take days or weeks to complete, based on the luck you have. To speed up the process be sure to avoid enemy camps that are optional during this time. It is also recommended to avoid repeating quests which can be completed later in the game. This will save time and energy.
When you reroll, it is important to be aware of the upgrade system. There are a variety of ways to enhance your character's appearance as well as power. Sets

Upgrades can bring popular items from single sets to parity with items in higher-tier sets. For instance upgrading Guillaume's Face helm to Elite Spired Helm boosts the defense from 217 to 321 and reduces the strength requirement and level requirement to a lower range.
It is important to keep in mind that not all items in the set can be upgraded. Certain sets, like the FB Sorc spec's Whistan's Shield or Naj's Puzzler staff, are already Elite and Exceptional in their own right and do not need upgrading. Certain items, such as Goldwrap and Whistan's Shield (both BiS) that are often used, could be benefited by an upgrade to improve their stats. It might be worthwhile to upgrade these items.
